The background is a single layer of lovely light blue flash that I sandblasted to look like clouds. It consists of all opal and streaky hand blown glasses, some of which are antique and no longer being made. I sandblasted the glass in this panel and glazed it using lead came. <image:caption>This piece is an ode to my scottish grandma! I incorporated oak leaves and thistles and lots of plaid. The five circles were created by plating two pieces of sandblasted glass on top of each other. I also used high fire enamels for more details. I glazed the panel using lead came and installed it in a black painted poplar frame. 22.75”x22.75”</image:caption>

<image:caption>I got this plate in an antique store in Brewster on Cape Cod. This was a tough one. There is a fine aged crackle in the glaze of the plate and some of it has absorbed a stain. I really wanted to recreate the crackle. Instead of trying to find the worlds finest brush I covered the paper in super fine scores using a razor blade. Then I painted over it with a wash in different colors and the cracks absorbed more of the paint. <image:caption>This is one of my all time favorites! This picture shows how easy it is to hang one of my panels using wire. Its strung through eye hooks at the top of the window frame, forward enough that the bottom sash can still come up behind it. Each circle was created by sandblasting and painting two pieces of glass and plating them on top of each other. I love the depth of pattern and color that creates, like a kaleidoscope.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is one of a matching pair of windows inspired by the artwork of 19th century botanist Ernst Haeckel. I love the way he translated natural forms in a beautiful stylized way. I sandblasted the glass and added high fire glass paints and enamels to add more details.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I first made the two bottom panels to create privacy. They were inspired by the artwork of the 19th century botanist Ernst Haeckel. When the neighbor added an addition we created two more windows. I sandblasted the glass and added high fire glass paints and enamels to create these images.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This an internal window between an office and the double height living room. The influence of kimono patterns on my work is evident in this fan pattern. I sandblasted the glass and added high fire glass paints and enamels to create these patterns. They are constructed using lead.</image:caption>
