This piece is all two layers of sandblasted flashed glass. It’s constructed using lead came.
This is one of my favorite pieces! Are the circles beach balls, balloons, lanterns? Who knows. The background is a single layer of lovely light blue flash that I sandblasted to look like clouds. Each ‘ball’ is two layers of flashed glass that I sandblasted patterns in and then plated together with copper foil. Glazing single layers together with double layers makes for tricky lead glazing!

23" x 23" This piece was a bit of a departure for me but I love how it turned out. It consists of all opal and streaky hand blown glasses, some of which are antique and no longer being made. I sandblasted the glass in this panel and glazed it using lead came. It is installed in a black painted poplar frame

17”x23.5”
This piece is an ode to my scottish grandma! I incorporated oak leaves and thistles and lots of plaid. The five circles were created by plating two pieces of sandblasted glass on top of each other. I also used high fire enamels for more details. I glazed the panel using lead came and installed it in a black painted poplar frame.
22.75”x22.75”
This piece was a bit of a challenge for me. I tried to show some restraint and leave large segments of glass untouched. I like the contrast of the round shapes and the straight lead lines. I sandblasted the handblown glass in this panel and glazed it using lead came. Its installed in a black painted poplar frame.

I sandblasted the hand blown glass to create these shapes and added high fire glass paints and enamels to color the backgrounds. The construction is lead came. It is installed into a black painted poplar frame.
